Francois’ objective in teaching the game of golf is to help his students improve their skills and develop their abilities. He feels an obligation to show a student how to benefit best from a lesson.

Students of golf fitness training with Francois Van Zyl will always know and have an understanding of what will occur during the session. They will be given reasons for his suggestions and instruction for change.

To quote the great Ben Hogan,

“Don’t simply tell a player what he is doing wrong - that’s not much help. You must explain to them what they ought to be doing, why it is correct, and the results it produces.”

What is Golf Fitness Training?

Just like how you would train your body to run a marathon, you need to train your body to play golf. Golf fitness training involves exercises that focus on the core stability, strength, and explosiveness necessary to improve your golf game.

Our 3 Pillars to Golf Fitness Training Success

At Body In Rhythm, we believe that there are three pillars to improving your golf game:

Mobility:

If each individual joint does not move in an optimal range of motion, a golfer will not be able to execute a golf swing with precision.

Strength & Stability:

Now that you have the mobility you are looking for, you need to have stability to control the range of motion your joints have. Having strength will allow a golfer to become more accurate and aid in the speed and power production of the golf swing.

Speed & Power:

The last ingredient in improving your golf game is creating more speed. This is accomplished by having more range of motion at each joint, the stability and strength to control those motions and training that makes all of your muscles fire on all cylinders.

Who Should Enroll in Golf Fitness Training?

Golfers of any age and skill level should enroll in our golf fitness training program! This program is great for both beginners and expert golfers looking to improve their golf game. Besides improving your swing and overall game, you will also increase your total body strength and reduce your risk of injury.

What Happens When You Enroll?

After enrolling in our golf fitness training program, you will receive:

  • A Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Screen/Assessment

  • Take Down the Line and Front View video and FlightScope Launch Monitor Data (to be sent to Francois or another golf professional of your choice)

  • 10 30-minute Golf Fitness Sessions

Access to work on Golf Drills and practice hitting golf shots in indoor facility as long as working off a fitness package

How Does It Work?

Here’s a breakdown of how our Golf Fitness Training Program works:

  • Videos of swing and FlightScope Info will be sent to Francois via the Coach Now App

  • Francois will give commentary analysis of your golf swing and then provide you with drills to work on at Body In Rhythm Facility with Coach Matt

  • Both your Golf Professional and Fitness Professional will be on your very own private thread in the Coach Now App to help your game

  • Work on Golf Drills and golf specific exercises during sessions at Body In Rhythm

  • Re-send progress videos of swing and working on drills to Francois for further commentary
